a plea to my peeps

So I have a lot of tile in my home, I mean a lot a lot, and I'm sick and tired of sweeping it. Does anybody have a recommendation on one of those mini-vacuums that's supposed to work on hard floors? I've looked at a few but just don't know what direction to go.

Next issue, I have some gorgeous wood salad tongs and they're supposed to be treated with oil every few months. What type of oil do I use? And where do I get said oil?

Thanks for your help!!!

I have heard the hoover mate works very well. I believe that is what it is called anyway. My friend who lives in California has tile through her home and she has the hoover thinga ma jobby in which you speak about. ;)

The oil or the salad tongs....ya ya got me beat....but something tells me you do not want to use WD-40... ;)

hmm-

I use the bissel flip it. I don't use the vacuum side though- just the mop side. It works really well.

I want to get the hoover floor mate though because it is bigger and heftier. We have hardwood throughout the house.

Can't help ya with the oil. I probably have all sorts of things I'm supposed to be oiling!

I love my shark vacuum! It's great for hard floors and even light carpet vacuuming. It's also great for all those messes that kids seem to enjoy making! (It's called the shark, not sure the brand, not hard to find.)

The shark cordless vaccum is a must, you can get it at costco and also the shark steam mop. You will LOVE both of them.....
