Almost the right answer

While checking-out at Target today the cashier handed Cormac a sticker. I asked "what do you say?" to Cormac, to which he responded with a loud guttural "RAWR!!!!!"

Eh, close enough.

Because my brain feels like mush......

bullets.

  • I started school thursday. I have 4 classes, 3 of them are math related.
  • I have a migraine, I think it's permanent.
  • My oldest has started using the term "DUH!" a lot! I have taken to flicking his forehead.
  • My youngest has started calling me a "bad day" when he's mad at me. It's one of the meaner things anyone has ever called me, but I smile every time he says it anyways.
  • I've found that the best waterproof mascara isn't actually waterproof mascara, it's L'oreals Double Extend mascara. It peels off like shrink wrap when you're in the shower.
  • Maybe cryproof is a better term for it.
  • This mascara is the only make-up I've bothered to put on for about a week now.
  • You say I'm crazy, I got your crazy!!
  • I got new couches. They're leatha!
  • I can't find my vases, I think the last place I saw them was Baltimore.
  • I can't decide what color to paint my family room and kitchen.
  • Have I mentioned I have a migraine?

My Precious Little Niece

Last week tragedy struck my family when my sisters baby was stillborn just days before her due date. There was a knot in the umbilical cord. She was 9 lbs 2 oz, 20.5 inches and an absolutely gorgeous little angel. I'm posting her obituary because I feel that her momma said it all the best.

Marlo Irene Wilson

1-15-09

Our precious baby girl....

After a long 9 months of waiting, you finally entered this world, already an angel. We were blessed with the opportunity to see you and hold you in our arms. Unfortunately for us you had already moved on to live with Jesus and the other Angels. For now our hearts are broken and we may not ever understand why you had to leave us so soon, but we want you to never forget how much we love you and will miss you every single day of our lives.

We have no doubt that you are being very well taken care of and loved by the many family members who have gone before and we know you will be waiting for us when we get there.

Marlo will be greatly missed by her Father Tyler Wilson, Mother Monica Wilson, her big sister Olivia Wilson and her special little buddy "Tristen", Grandfather Wesley Wilson, Grandmother Carol Wilson, Grandfather Rodney Schultz, Grandmother Carol Schultz, and many, many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends.

And because her daddies only wish was that everyone could see what a beautiful baby she is...

Let me just explain this picture really quick. First, Isaac took it. Second, he required I make a funny face otherwise he wouldn't do it.

Okay, so this is my new apron that I bought from Target today. I think it's adorable and I'm pretty sure that I will be cooking more just so I have an excuse to wear it, (this is just a thought however and not a binding contract that requires I actually cook more). But I really wish there was another girl in the house to appreciate it with me. This is the conversation that happened when I put it on.

"Hey Isaac, isn't this a super cute apron?"

"um, no. It kind of looks like a monster that starts out as your friend but then changes it's mind and eats you instead."

If I'm being perfectly honest, I can kind of see what he's talking about.

I think I had a few hairstyles that were like that too.

In his moment of struggle.........

all I did was grab the camera!!

"why don't you love me enough to help, mom?"

And the answer is, because it's so much more entertaining to watch!!!

Hello 2009!!!

Since I didn't send out Christmas cards with letters I thought I would sort of do that here. But if you are a regular reader of my blog this will probably just be an annoying re-cap of the last year.

We had a crazy year full of achievements and stress (they always seem to go hand in hand).
We started the year with a move from a house in North Phoenix to an apartment in Gilbert, we wanted to get ourselves situated and comfortable with the area before we made any big purchases. However, it became increasing clear that we had outgrown the apartment lifestyle, and nothing made this more clear to Jason than the random punches to his arm followed by a demand of "get me the hell out of this apartment!!!"

To help ease my nerves and get me away from my situation for a while I decided to go back to school. That's when we added a new addition to our family. Her name is Carla, and she is my life saver and the boys nanny!!! Oh how we love Carla and the 12 hours a week she spends here. School is going well for me and I am thrilled to be back at the grindstone working towards my goals.

In July Jason opened a new dental practice that has had amazing success. One month later Jason was able to save his arm from the brutal attacks and bought me my home!! I wish I could say we are all settled however, we still need loads of furniture to fill it. I should probably get around to hanging some pictures too.

The boys have also stayed busy and had a year of achievements too. They both learned to swim all by themselves without floaties. While we expected this of Isaac this year, we were quite shocked to have our little two year old jumping into the pool and taking off.

Isaac also started Pre-K this year and has done fantastic in school. He is learning to read and write and is really enjoying the experience. He also started karate and it has been fun to watch him advance through the belt rankings. He is currently a high-gold belt and getting ready to test into orange.

After some concern on my part about Cormac's speaking, or lack there of at the beginning of the year, he finally decided he had something to say and hasn't shut up since!! He is constantly trying to keep up with Isaac and has given me a nervous disorder in the process. He is a fun little boy who makes me laugh so hard every day. He is also quite the cuddle-bug and is always ready to hand out hugs and kisses and then say "thanks" afterward.

We really feel as though we have found our little place in the world and we couldn't be happier or more at peace. 2009, here we come!!!
