I switched teams......

and no one was more surprised than my husband. After all we've been married 7 years. How could I change like this on him? But seriously, after seeing the movie who wouldn't be on team Edward??!!!

The intense look in his eyes just did something for me. Now like so many other women out there I'll be pouring glitter on my husband just so he'll look more like Edward Cullin.

P.S. The movie was good too!

Remember when I told you all about my childhood dream to be a back-up dancer for Tina Turner? You can read about it here if you don't. Well, I have a new dream. To be a dancer in this Beyonce video.

Why do I dream of shaking my ass on stage?

How you know your child has outgrown Dora.

Anyone who has ever watched Dora The Explorer knows that it's obnoxious. Dora is constantly asking the same question over and over. Well, Isaac has finally noticed this too. Here's what I heard......
Dora-"now we need to find snowy mountain"
Isaac-"there it is"
Dora-"Do you see snowy mountain?"
Isaac-"it's behind you"
Dora-"where's snowy mountain?"
Isaac-"RIGHT THERE BEHIND YOU!!!!!!!!!"

Sick Day!

Isaac woke up this morning with a pretty ugly cough. It sounds a bit croup like to me. When I told him he wouldn't be able to go to school because he was coughing like a sea lion, he got really mad and told me "I can handle this walrus cough myself! I'm going to school."
Of course he didn't go to school but I did try and make it better by offering to watch Star Wars with him. He has never seen the movies and we decided that he should watch them in the same order that we all saw them, Episode 4,5,6, then 1,2, and 3. Today we were watching 5 and 6 (he saw 4 last weekend). Can I just tell you that I have the cutest five year old on the planet?! He CRIED when he found out that Darth Vader was Luke's father, then again during episode 6 when Darth Vader saved Luke proving he was still good. Then full on bawled when Anikan joined Yoda and Obiwan in the after life. Not that I can blame him on that one 'cause I bawled like a baby too. I love Star Wars!!!! But he was so into the movies and got so excited and here is the proof.......

Do you see how baggy those unders are? This is because when he gets excited he grabs the legs of his unders and pulls out and up. Those things are practically collates!!

And yes I'm allowing my children to play outside in their underwear in the middle of November. He's already sick, what else could happen?

It's almost like he's a guru

I've been trying to ween Cormac off being by my side every second of every day. Today as I was getting ready to use the bathroom I told him he should give me some privacy and go sit in the corner. I pointed to a corner of my room where an empty overnight bag sat. He walked over to the corner looked in the bag and said "It's all gone, you don't have anymore privacy." Then walked past me into the bathroom to take his place next to the toilet paper roll.

Truer words have never been spoken. In fact I think they should have a sign that says that on the doors of the maternity ward so you can see it as you leave the hospital with your new baby.

I would also like to take this moment to thank my friend Holly who shared the term "sunshine hair" with me, because this boy definitely has sunshine hair.

Super!!!

Cormac has a lisp, that might actually be putting it mildly. I can't even begin to explain what this speech impediment is but I captured it on video for you. The best is when I ask him to say "super" because not only do you hear the lisp but for some reason he really struggled to get the word out. You can stop watching after that but trust me you want to hear the super!!!
And let me just apologize now for how loud and obnoxious my voice is on the recording, I know it's bad but what can you do, I recorded on a digital camera and I was right next to it!!

My children are at difficult ages. I may start graying any day now. Here are some conversations that I've had with them in the last week.

I picked out a shirt for Isaac that looks like a short sleeved shirt is over a long sleeved shirt (it's 75 degrees here, we're freezing), so I hand it to him and he puts it on and then says "Mom!!! I'm 5!!"
me-"I know. Why?"
him-"Look at this shirt!!" he then starts pointing to the fake long sleeves and the short sleeve.
me-"what's wrong with it?"
him-"I'm 5!!!!" he then stormed off.

It's not like it's a onesie and bib!!! I thought it was a rather attractive shirt, but what do I know about what's cool for 5 year olds?!

Cormac is 2 and therefore a little bi-polar. We were leaving a grocery store the other day and as we step into the street he has a full on cow and starts screaming that he needs to hold me. That's fine, I pick him up and before I even have him situated on my hip he has another cow that he doesn't want to be held!!!! Make up your mind dude!!!!

Cormac also has a new favorite saying and it is "no idea!!!" and he has no idea how to use it. The nanny got here yesterday he runs up to her "no idea carla, no idea!!" We're driving in the car and out of no where "no idea!!!" He's yelling at Isaac to share his toys " It's not nice! you share! NO IDEA!!!"

smell my feet

As promised here are some pictures of the boys trick or treating. I don't have a very good camera so the night pictures don't turn out well, but you can still tell they were the most adorable ones out there.

Does anyone else feel their house looks like a crime scene right now? Where a gruesome attack occurred and there weren't any survivors?

We believe the attack started here in the formal dining room. Just a few feet past the front door.

Here is a piece of evidence found not far from where the attack first began. There is a lollipop stick and what looks to be a chocolate smear (we can hope that's what it is anyways!!) We continue to find lollipop sticks in this exact state through out the house.

Here is the stained clothing.

Here we find the remnants of a lollipop that came to a grizzly end.

Then there are the chocolate fingerprints throughout the house.

But don't worry folks, we have a suspect in custody.

He clearly feels no remorse for the crime he just commited!!
