5 little words....

For a couple years now my oldest has been rather adverse to me telling him I love him.

He'd frequently respond with,

"do you have to say that?"

or

"I think I just threw-up in my mouth."

But lately, when I tell him I love him,

you know what he says to me???

"I love you too mom"

and oh how my heart has ached to hear his little raspy voice say that to me again.

and yes, I always knew he loved me even when he didn't say it.

But I love hearing it!!!
